MOBI files are designed for Amazon’s Kindle, which is to say both physical Kindle devices (such as the Kindle Paperwhite or the Kindle Fire) and the Kindle app, available for Mac, Windows, iOS/iPadOS, and Android.
Our Device Advice page includes some thoughts on why you might choose one format over another. When you order a book from us, you can download any or all of these formats, as you prefer. Take Control books were originally distributed only in PDF format, but in 2010 we added EPUB and Mobipocket (or MOBI) formats too.
